Helen Doron’s Cool Summer students improve both spoken and written English skills through great music, mind mapping and learning about different cultures and countries.
Cool Summer teaches about Acceptance, Respect and Tolerance and has three main Goals:
• To create a framework where teenagers from different backgrounds can study and interact together in order to foster a better understanding of different people and their cultures.
• To improve the camper’s English expression skills, both written and verbal.
• To experience the unique environment of their campsite.
From day one, the campers will be encouraged to interact through ice-breaking activities designed to allow them to get to know each other.
As the session progresses the campers will discover more about themselves and the differences and similarities between themselves and the other teens in the camp. There will also be a section on four major different world cultures to provide information about people and their way of life that the teens have not yet experienced.
